Bruce L. Sprinkle, A.S.I.D. has created interiors of distinction for more than 30
years, having completed projects from Boston, Massachusetts to the Ocean Reef
Club in Key Largo, Florida. He is NCIDQ certified and a professional member of the
American Society of Interior Designers.
Call it curiosity, or call it good business sense, most
people seem to want to know some background about
their interior designer, who becomes "like family"
before most projects are completed! On that note,
here's a little history about Bruce and his company.
Born in Ithaca, New York in 1953 and spending most
of his childhood in Northeast Pennsylvania, near the
Pocono mountains, one of his interests was architecture,
and he was especially fond of Frank Lloyd Wright.
Bruce's father is a doctor, who recently retired from his
medical practice in Ithaca, New York and his mother
was a nurse.
Bruce received his bachelor's degree from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania
while majoring in a pre-med program. After four years of pre-med, Bruce realized
that his true calling wasn't medicine and he attended the Ray Vogue School of Design
in Chicago. Then after graduating from Ray Vogue in 1978 and working for one of
Chicago's leading interior designers, Robert Melin, he relocated to Palm Beach,
Florida in 1979, where he practiced for 24 years.
While in Florida, he had several projects published in Palm Beach Life magazine, in
1983 joined the firm of T.G. Design, Inc., and bought the company in 1986.
After missing the mountains, small town life and change of seasons from his youth,
Bruce and his wife, Victoria, relocated to the mountain community of Hendersonville,
North Carolina in 2003. They operate T.G. Design, Inc. together under two divisions;
Bruce Interiors and Nanako, their retail home accessories gallery.
Bruce feels like he's "home again" in the beautiful mountains of western North
Carolina, (well, it is the same mountain chain from his childhood), and Victoria loves
the area also!
Completing their family run business, is their Havanese dog, Kyoto, who is the office
manager and she is also in charge of inventory control in the retail gallery.
